We are the Tigers! Mighty, mighty Tigers! Everywhere we go, people want to know Who we are! So we tell 'em... We are the Tigers! Mighty, mighty Tigers! TAS Cheer

The website is dedicated to the Class of 1962 and all students, alumni, and faculty of Taipei American School, past, present, and future.

Your webmaster, Milton Hicks '62, was the school photographer in 1962, taking thousands of pictures, but mildew destroyed the majority of them before it was realized and the few salvaged 35mm film and photos were stored away in a box after returning to the states and pretty much forgotten about for 35 years.

Then one year there was word of a reunion for alumni of the 50's and 60's, to be held on the Chinese Double-Ten Day, October 10, 1997, appropriately in China Town, San Francisco, California USA. The old photos were remembered and searched for, to be found in the attic (not the best of places for negatives and photos). Scanners capable of doing negatives was not common then but I was able to get some equipment with back lighting and a couple months were spent trying to scan the fragile negatives. I was still struggling all the way up to leaving for the convention.

The photos provided herein are for the display, enjoyment, and personal use of students, alumni, and faculty of Taipei American School, unless express written permission is given by the owner(s). Unless attributed to another source, all photos are under Copyright © by Milton Hicks and all Rights are reserved.

Alumni of the TAS 60's can obtain digital images of all photos on CD for US$15.00. Contact the Webmaster for more information.
